We offer a wide range of activities for all weather conditions and seasons. We are happy to advise and/or accompany you.
hiking
On Vannøya there are numerous marked hiking trails. They lead through almost untouched landscapes to dreamlike vantage points. At the roadside you will find an impressive flora and fauna. Due to the high fish population in some mountain lakes, it is worth taking our fishing equipment with you on the tour. For adventurous hikers there is also a geocatching puzzle available.
Northern lights
A fascinating natural event are the northern lights. They can only be seen between September and April. Capturing this phenomonon is a must for photo experts.
The island of the sea eagles and puffins
Fugløy is one of the largest bird cliffs in Norway. Many white-tailed eagles have their breeding grounds here. Between April and September you can also find the common guillemot, the puffin, the razorbill, the black guillemot and the great gull.
Snowshoeing, skiing, cross-country skiing
In winter it is possible to go hiking with snowshoes. The snow reaches a height of about 1m, which provides ideal conditions for cross-country skiing and skiing.
archery
There are 2 compound bows with different train weights of the OK-Archery brand and a children's bow available. You are also welcome to bring your own bow.
The shooting range is directly at the house.
Day trip to Tromsø
The exploration of Tromsø is very worthwhile due to the many sights. A highlight of the city is the eventful museum Polaria with its arctic aquarium. Further sights:
- Arctic Sea Cathedral with the largest glass mosaic window in Europe
- Cathedral of Tromsø
- Tromsø Museum
- aerial lift Fjellheisen to the Storstein with 418m height
- Shopping centre and old town with restaurants and small shops
Drone fly
For photography enthusiasts, taking picture with a drone is a special challenge. With the DJI Mavic Air you can take home unique videos and photos with just a bit of practice.
Collect berries and mushrooms
Cloudberries (under nature protection in Germany - a permitted delicacy in Norway), and of course blueberries in abundance. Also mushrooms, including even porcini mushroom are present.
